Providing professional and experienced guided walking on Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis

Itinerary


The route will start in the beautiful Glen Nevis, and follow the Mountain Path on the side of Meall an T-Suidhe, before reaching 'The Halfway Lochain' at 600m. From here, the Mountain Path crosses The Red Burn, before tackling the 'Zig-Zags', walking at a steady angle, to gain the summit plateau of Ben Nevis. From the edge of the plateau, a further 1km of gentle up-hill leads to the summit of Ben Nevis, 1344m above sea level. This route will be reversed in descent.

An approximate outline of the day is detailed below:

0850 Meet in Glen Nevis, transport can be arranged from Fort William if required.

0900 A briefing for the day, including weather forecast, what to expect and kit check.

0910 Start walking, ensuring that we stay together as a group. Breaks will be incorporated into the walk.

1300-1400 Reach the summit of Ben Nevis, and then reversing the route in descent.

1600-1700 Return back in Glen Nevis.


Throughout the day, there will be opportunities to develop your hillwalking skills, helping you prepare for future trips into the mountains.
